1. Pre-Inspection Review

● Confirm scope of work, service contract, and cleaning schedule.
● Gather inspection checklist (square footage, flooring types, restrooms, high-traffic areas, etc.).

2. Walkthrough of Facility

● Inspect all assigned areas systematically (entrances, offices, restrooms, breakrooms,hallways, etc.).
● Notate cleanliness, dusting, trash removal, floor care, and supply replenishments.
● Perform a detailed inspection of the facility, notings (pictures) any areas that are dirty, damaged, or in need of maintenance.
● Based on walkthrough findings, your approval to clean and service equipment or areas requiring attention will begin.

3. Check Key Focus Areas

Restrooms: Fixtures, mirrors, floors, trash, and supplies.
Floors: Condition of carpet, VCT, hardwood, or tile.
High-Touch Surfaces: Door handles, desks, switches, counters.
Trash & Recycling: Ensure bins are emptied, cleaned, and relined properly.
General Appearance: Odor, dust levels, and overall presentation.

4. Evaluate Equipment & Supplies

● Ensure cleaning equipment is functioning properly and stored safely.
● Confirm supplies (soap, paper towels, trash liners) are adequately stocked.

5. Identify Issues & Document Findings

● Record deficiencies such as missed areas, poor conditions, or safety hazards.
● Take photos for documentation when necessary.
● Review existing documentation: standard operating procedures (SOP) and previous inspection reports to identify recurring issues.

7. Corrective Actions

● Share inspection results with cleaning staff and/or contractors.
● Assign corrective actions with clear deadlines.

8. Follow-Up

● Re-inspect corrected areas to ensure compliance.
● Adjust the cleaning plan if recurring issues are found.
● Once cleaning and servicing are completed, review all work to confirm that it meets quality standards and is ready for formal inspection
